Dear NPH Family,

After a life of struggle and difficulty, Jesus Bonilla, only fourteen years old, went to his final rest after continued medical complications. Jesús came to us when he was five years old, and was suffering from multiple birth defects and medical issues. Though life was a struggle, he remained a beacon of light within the NPH Honduras family. He was never the most out spoken or loudest of the group, yet always making friends and bringing joy to those around him. Dealing with life without use of his lower extremities was not easy, but the strength he provided to his siblings and friends was a true gift.

Survived by his older siblings, Israel, Helen, Cesar and Oscar as well of the rest of his NPH Honduras family, Jesús will be truly missed by all of us. Life for Jesús was a struggle, but his life to the rest of us he was a blessing. He is finally at rest, no longer fighting his body and constant infection, and though it is incredibly hard to say goodbye, we are truly grateful for the gift his life was to the rest of us.

Please keep Jesus, his brothers and sister and the rest of his NPH Honduras family in your prayers as we sit with the sadness of his passing. Jesús’ life was short, and certainly not easy, but it was well lived, and he, well loved.

Thank you and God bless,

NPH Honduras
