A nurse/ healthcare worker to work in both the external and internal clinics
The nurse for the external clinic is responsible for overseeing the medical care of the external clinic and assures that professional quality health care is provided to the patients of the surrounding communities and the employees of the orphanage. The nurse assists the doctor in the administration of the clinic and the treatment of patients. The nurse is never asked to staff the clinic without the doctor present.
Making recommendations for continued development in health care provision by the external clinic for the surrounding communities and the orphanage employees.
Attending the external clinic for consults 3 mornings a week starting at 7:30.
Performing routine examinations and reviewing charts of the children of the orphanage on a periodic basis.
Identifying problems with the functioning of the clinic or provision of health care and working with the health care director, the nurses and other appropriate personnel to resolve the issues.
Supervising the other external clinic personnel and working with them to assure smooth, cost-effective, quality health care and education is provided for the community.
Assisting with continuing education of the health care providers of the orphanage.
Performing an advisory role for quality assurance programs for the health care provision of the external clinic.
Working with groups of doctors, medical students, nurses or other health care personnel that come to the ranch to assist in the medical care of the children of the orphanage and in the external clinic.
Assisting in recruitment of volunteers to work at the external clinic.
Attending monthly health care meetings.
Reviewing responsibilities every 6 months with the health care director.
